Lovebirds: a single bird or a pair?

Background

A single lovebird often bonds intensely with its owner, stepping up readily and becoming very affectionate. But lovebirds are famously pair-oriented, so if you are out for long hours, a pair may be far less lonely and stressed. The deciding factor is how much time you can spend together each day.
